WALLY by Wee Paws

Image
WALLY - 6" bear pattern by Wee Paws (Pauline Wong - 2004). It's been a few years since I've made a bear. I gifted this cute, hand sewn bear (made from German Mohair) to a friend today. I love the many 'poses' that Wally can make! #mohairbear #wallybyweepaws #weepaws #vintagepattern #bronsbears #handstitchedbear #wally

'Joy to the World' Star Card for Paper Rose Studio

Image
Welcome to my blog; today I'm sharing a really special Christmas Card for my last Paper Rose Studio Design Team Project for 2025. It brings together two fun folds and is the brain child of the very talented Tina Zinck, also known as The Serene Stamper . The link to her Triple Wow Card is at the end of this post (she has three interactive folds in her design). I'd never made a star card before and when I saw Tina's beautiful examples, I just knew I had to make a partial version of her magnificent Triple Wow Card (I omitted the Magic Slider section). It features the beautiful papers and embossed die-cuts from the Joy to the World Collection from Paper Rose Studio. Star Card with a Bay Window Fold Front - Closed Back - Closed Adding some extra paper panels to the inside and front of the card allows the journey of the wise men and the Nativity Scene to unfold before your eyes creating a storybook like quality to the card. Inside - Open Bird's Eye View I'm so pleased t...

Merry & Bright Bendy Fold Cards for Paper Rose Studio

Image
Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing three types of Bendy Fold Cards featuring the Merry & Bright Collection .  I took inspiration for the first two projects from Sam Calcott (Mixed Up Crafts) and submitted them for my latest Design Team Projects for December. 1. Slimline Tiered Bendy Card I cut a slimline card in half for the base of this one and scored it along the length at the halfway mark (4-1/8"). Two pieces of patterned paper, each measuring (H)3-3/4" x (W)4" were glued on for the background.  Go and watch Sam's video to see how she constructed this type of card and I've popped the measurements and score marks of the bendy pieces here for easy reference - 1. 9-1/4" x 1" (score at 1/2" and 8-3/4"), 2. 8-1/4" x 1-1/4" (score at 1/2" and 7-3/4"), 3. 7-1/4" x 1-1/2" (score at 1/2" and 6-3/4"). The embossed die-cuts from the Merry & Bright Collection are rather cute and super qui...

Three Fun Fold Cards made with the Nesting Arches Metal Cutting Die

Image
Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing my latest design team project for Paper Rose Studio. I was asked to make a Fancy Fold Card using any Nesting Dies of my choice. It wasn't easy to decide which Nesting Dies to use as I have a few sets and so many ideas were floating around in my head! Once I'd settled on featuring the Nesting Arches Metal Cutting Dies (so trendy right now), I decided on three fancy fold card ideas and to incorporate the Mosaic Sunflower Die into each design. The 6x6 papers from the Sketchy Collection provided a lovely botanical background for each card. 1. Honeycomb Pop-Out Card The Honeycomb Pop-Out Card has an aperture cut into the pop-out section and the Mosaic Sunflower die-cut is glued to an acetate arch which is attached to the front stabiliser piece. 2. Box Card The box card is constructed from four large arch die-cuts and joined together with hinges. Three of the sides are scored and folded to form the outer, decorative flaps. 3. Ease...
