Merry & Bright Bendy Fold Cards for Paper Rose Studio

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing three types of Bendy Fold Cards featuring the Merry & Bright Collection. 


I took inspiration for the first two projects from Sam Calcott (Mixed Up Crafts) and submitted them for my latest Design Team Projects for December.

1. Slimline Tiered Bendy Card


I cut a slimline card in half for the base of this one and scored it along the length at the halfway mark (4-1/8"). Two pieces of patterned paper, each measuring (H)3-3/4" x (W)4" were glued on for the background. 

Go and watch Sam's video to see how she constructed this type of card and I've popped the measurements and score marks of the bendy pieces here for easy reference - 1. 9-1/4" x 1" (score at 1/2" and 8-3/4"), 2. 8-1/4" x 1-1/4" (score at 1/2" and 7-3/4"), 3. 7-1/4" x 1-1/2" (score at 1/2" and 6-3/4").


The embossed die-cuts from the Merry & Bright Collection are rather cute and super quirky and they help to create a really fun scene placed on the three tiers of this slimline version.

If you thought I used a few characters on the card above, just brace yourself for this multi-tiered version; a ship load of embossed die-cuts were added to this one!

2. 6x6 Tiered Bendy Card


Follow Sam's video to see how this type of card is constructed and I've added the measurements and score lines for the tiers here for easy reference - 5" x 9", 4" x 9", 3" x 9", 2" x 9" and 1" x 9". Each are scored at the 1/2", 1", 1-1/2", 7-1/2", 8", 8-1/2" marks. On each tier I glued a 1" x 6" strip of patterned paper as shown below -



The last project is one of my card designs and I'll hold off sharing the measurements as I have some ideas to improve the design of this one!

3. Z-Fold Bendy Card


This Z-Fold Bendy Card is quite simple to make and not as many embossed die-cuts were used in its construction!

Three Fun Fold Cards made with the Nesting Arches Metal Cutting Die

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing my latest design team project for Paper Rose Studio. I was asked to make a Fancy Fold Card using any Nesting Dies of my choice. It wasn't easy to decide which Nesting Dies to use as I have a few sets and so many ideas were floating around in my head! Once I'd settled on featuring the Nesting Arches Metal Cutting Dies (so trendy right now), I decided on three fancy fold card ideas and to incorporate the Mosaic Sunflower Die into each design. Fairytale Christmas Shaker Cards

They have some very cute collections including Fairytale Christmas which I'm featuring today in my second DT project for the month of August.
