'Joy to the World' Star Card for Paper Rose Studio

Image
Welcome to my blog; today I'm sharing a really special Christmas Card for my last Paper Rose Studio Design Team Project for 2025. It brings together two fun folds and is the brain child of the very talented Tina Zinck, also known as The Serene Stamper . The link to her Triple Wow Card is at the end of this post (she has three interactive folds in her design). I'd never made a star card before and when I saw Tina's beautiful examples, I just knew I had to make a partial version of her magnificent Triple Wow Card (I omitted the Magic Slider section). It features the beautiful papers and embossed die-cuts from the Joy to the World Collection from Paper Rose Studio. Star Card with a Bay Window Fold Front - Closed Back - Closed Adding some extra paper panels to the inside and front of the card allows the journey of the wise men and the Nativity Scene to unfold before your eyes creating a storybook like quality to the card. Inside - Open Bird's Eye View I'm so pleased t...

Merry & Bright Bendy Fold Cards for Paper Rose Studio

Image
Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing three types of Bendy Fold Cards featuring the Merry & Bright Collection .  I took inspiration for the first two projects from Sam Calcott (Mixed Up Crafts) and submitted them for my latest Design Team Projects for December. 1. Slimline Tiered Bendy Card I cut a slimline card in half for the base of this one and scored it along the length at the halfway mark (4-1/8"). Two pieces of patterned paper, each measuring (H)3-3/4" x (W)4" were glued on for the background.  Go and watch Sam's video to see how she constructed this type of card and I've popped the measurements and score marks of the bendy pieces here for easy reference - 1. 9-1/4" x 1" (score at 1/2" and 8-3/4"), 2. 8-1/4" x 1-1/4" (score at 1/2" and 7-3/4"), 3. 7-1/4" x 1-1/2" (score at 1/2" and 6-3/4"). The embossed die-cuts from the Merry & Bright Collection are rather cute and super qui...

Christmas Tree Farm 'Honeycomb' Pop-Out Cards

Image
Welcome to my blog; I'm super excited to share my latest Design Team project for Paper Rose Studio.  I've made a couple of Honeycomb Pop-Out Cards  (original design by Susan Campfield) and have adapted the measurements for a 6x6 card base. They feature the gorgeous papers and embossed die-cuts from the Christmas Tree Farm Collection . Card Number 1 - Window Decorations The window scene wasn't central on the paper so I adjusted the order of the panels to suit this type of card fold then added a Christmas Tree Embossed Die-Cut to the stabiliser piece. The sentiment is from the pack of 'First Christmas' die-cuts and I added the poinsettia, bells and holly for some extra embellishment. There's plenty of room on the back of the card to write a greeting and the side panels have been embellished with some festive paper and an embossed die-cut. Card Number 2 - On the Farm For the second card I decided to add a 'stabiliser' piece to the top as well as the bottom...

'Fairytale Christmas' Fun Fold Cards for A5 Cardstock and 6x6 Papers

Image
Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing three fun-fold cards made with products from the Fairytale Christmas Collection from Paper Rose Studio . This type of card fold is perfect to 'show off' those scenic 6x6 papers and can be easily embellished with some very cute, embossed die-cuts.  A big shout out to Claire from Created the Ottaway for this brilliant fun fold idea! I have a link to Claire's instructional video further down in the post. I'm always on the look out for card folds that make 6x6 papers 'shine' as I have containers full of paper packs/pads that size. I love Claire's design but altered her measurements slightly to suit a card base constructed from an A5 piece of cardstock . Paper Rose Studio have quite a few A5 packs of different coloured cardstock and I've chosen one of my favourites for today's projects, the absolutely beautiful Sea Mist Shimmer Cardstock. Each card opens to reveal a pretty Christmas scene. Card No. 1 - Gi...
