Easy Interactive Folio - Nature Stroll 2 from Paper Rose Studio

Image
I love Fairy Wrens (especially Tasmania's Superb Fairy-wren) so I was naturally drawn to this beautiful collection from the Nature Stroll range of products from Paper Rose Studio .  While attending Paperific in Melbourne I visited the Paper Rose Studio Stand and got my hands on the beautiful Nature Stroll 2, 12 x 12 Paper Collection and Die-Cuts .  The collection has beautiful images of Australian flora and fauna and I chose a gorgeous sheet of paper with bold proteas on one side and a delicate floral pattern on the reverse side to make another Easy Interactive Folio. This example has a large brad with twine closure at the front of the flap and a small pocket and tag on the inside. Attached to the belly band is a Hidden Paper Clip made with the Nesting Label 2 Metal Cutting Die.  The notebook was sewn together with some wax thread using a pamphlet stitch and some punched circles were glued to the ends for extra embellishment.  A corner pocket was glued to the bac...

Easy Interactive Folio - Botanical Buzz

Image
Welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing another Easy Interactive Folio . I picked up this gorgeous pack of papers and rub on transfers from The Paper Hive  and was keen to make something with them. The collection from 49 and Market is called Botanical Buzz and it's bee-utiful! This folio was constructed from the 'Delicate' (#DBV-32284) sheet of paper from the collection.  It has a front flap piece with a large brad closure, held together with some wrapped twine. A small pocket to hold a tag was added to the inside flap to cover the brad's metal fasteners and a sentiment from the Rub-on Transfers pack was placed on the front cover. A small belly band was attached to the inside cover (of the notebook section) to hold a hidden paper clip constructed from a couple of the rectangular images from the 'Blooming' (#DBV-32338) sheet of paper. The notebook was sewn together with some wax thread using a pamphlet stitch and some punched circles were glued to the ends fo...

'Silent Sea' Double Pocket Hidden Paper Clip for a Tags & Envelopes Folio

Image
Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm back with yet another 'Silent Sea' Tags & Envelopes Folio! This THIRD one was a commissioned project; I decided to 'switch it up' a bit by adding a Double Pocket Hidden Paper Clip to the inside. Hidden paperclips refer to paperclips that have been embellished or covered with paper, fabric etc. to create decorative pockets or 'charms', often used for junk journaling and scrapbooking. These altered paperclips are a trending craft item, with many tutorials available on YouTube that demonstrate various techniques to create unique designs for adding to journals, cards, folios and other decorative projects. This version of a hidden paperclip is attached to a bellyband on the fourth page of the folio. The unique double pocket for this style of paperclip was designed by Pinkstrawberryz and you can see her fantastic tutorial on Youtube - Pinkstrawberryz - Flip Floppy Double Pocket Hidden Paper Clips Tutorial Junk Journaling ht...
