Hi and welcome to the sixth and final instalment of my  Design Team Projects  featuring the bee...utiful   Bees & Butterflies Collection.  For my next project I made a  Honey Jar Notecard  from the  Confetti Jar 1 Metal Cutting   Die    ... ... and then a  Honey Jar   Easel Notecard  using the same set of dies. Lastly, I used the  Hexagon Die  from the  Confetti Jar 1  set to make a card from scraps of paper. Double Easel Card with Hexagon Window - Bees & Butterflies Collection from Paper Rose Studio

Image
Hi and welcome to the fifth instalment of my  Design Team Projects  featuring the bee...utiful   Bees & Butterflies Collection.  For my sixth project I made a  Double Easel Card with a Hexagon Window . This one is my personal favourite out of the nine that I made as  Guest Designer  this month. The larger easel section is propped against the easel stopper which is actually a small butterfly easel. I've used the  Stitched Hexagon Dies  to create a frame for the acetate window which has been embossed with the  Leafy 3D Embossing Folder . Hi and welcome to the fourth instalment of my  Design Team Projects  featuring the bee...utiful   Bees & Butterflies Collection. For my fifth project I made a  6x6 Easel Card . I really love the gorgeous background paper on this one and have added a  Wonky Picket Fence  [22762] to the garden scene. A little butterfly and bee are suspended on strips of acetate to the back of the easel stopper. Alora Layered Triple Butterfly Easel Card - Bees & Butterflies Collection from Paper Rose Studio

Image
Hi and welcome to the second instalment of my  Design Team Projects  featuring the bee...utiful   Bees & Butterflies Collection.  For my third project I made a  Triple   Butterfly Easel Card   using the lovely  Alora Layered Butterfly  [31623] and  Alora Layered Butterfly Trio  [31626] Metal Cutting Dies. As with the  Double Butterfly Easel Card  in the previous post, I used some beautiful  Gold   Shimmer  from the pack of  Golden Dream Shimmer Cardstock  for the detailed butterfly die-cuts. The label is from the gorgeous pack of  Bees & Butterflies Embossed Die-Cuts . I absolutely love using the coordinating packs of die-cuts with the paper collections from Paper Rose Studio. They are one of my favourite 'go to' products - no stamping, colouring and die-cutting required; you just simply use a craft knife (or a small pair of scissors) to cut the tabs to gently release the pieces from t...

Vanessa Butterfly Easel Cards - Bees & Butterflies Collection from Paper Rose Studio

Image
Hi there. Welcome to the first instalment of my  Design Team Projects  featuring the bee...utiful   Bees & Butterflies Collection  from Paper Rose Studio. I made a (single)  Butterfly Easel Card   using the gorgeous  Vanessa Butterfly Large Metal Cutting Die  [16602]. Fun Fact - I came up with this card design 15 years ago and it's still fluttering around the craft world! In fact it was my first card tutorial that I had for sale on my first blog and I've been making various versions with different butterfly dies ever since. This one is a personal favourite of mine as I absolutely love the shape and size of the large  Vanessa Butterfly  combined with the papers in the  Bees & Butterflies Collection.  2. This second project is a  Double Butterfly Easel Card  which features the above products as well as the  Vanessa Butterfly Small Metal Cutting Die  [16605]. The butterfly easel cards in this design hav...

Lavender & Fairies Butterfly Carousel Box Card

Image
Hi and welcome to Bronwyn Eastley Designs . I'm back with another  Butterfly Carousel Box Card  (an original design) made with the gorgeous, large  Vanessa Butterfly Die . It features the cute papers and embossed die-cuts from the  Lavender & Fairies Collection  (all from  Paper Rose Studio ). I'm working on some ideas for a local class that involves making 3D cards with butterfly dies. This is just one of the sample projects and the first of about four that I'm planning to make in the series. It's tough to decide on which papers and butterfly dies I'll end up using in the class because I love them all! So far I've played with the  Butterfly Bliss   and  Butterfly Garden  papers and because the  Lavender & Fairies  papers also feature butterflies, it seemed like a fun choice for my latest sample. It's technically not a 'carousel' card in the true sense of the word but the name sounded catchy and you do need to turn it a...

Vanessa Butterfly Carousel Box Card

Image
Hi and welcome to my blog. I'm excited to share another  Butterfly Carousel Box Card -  a new 'fancy-fold' that I recently designed. I was keen to try out this new card fold with a different butterfly die and paper collection and chose to use the beautiful, large  Vanessa Butterfly Die ,  Butterfly Garden  6x6 paper and die-cuts from  Paper Rose Studio.  SHOP Paper Rose Products - https://paperrose.com.au?sca_ref=8078156.smN4aKWBPtM I slightly modified the construction of this one and omitted the craft magnets that 'locked' the wings together, resulting in a lighter, less bulky card. Mind you ... I love both versions and it's hard to pick a favourite but I think version #3 that's in the planning stages will probably be my new 'fave' ... Stay tuned for that one! The former 'school teacher' in me needed to write some instructions to highlight the changes that I made with this  Vanessa Butterfly Carousel Box Card  so I've added it to the...

Alora Layered Butterfly 'Carousel' Box Card Tutorial

Image
Hi and welcome to Bronwyn Eastley Designs ; Happy New Year to my lovely blog subscribers and visitors; may 2025 be a 'crafty' one for you! I'm starting off the year by sharing an idea that was swirling around in my head for a few days; yesterday I took a break from re-organising my craft room and sat down to try and see if I could turn that idea into reality. I kinda just made things up as I went along as the initial idea didn't quite pan out, however, I'm very pleased with the end result. It turned out better than I had envisioned, so much so that I decided to re-do some steps to photograph and ended up with a 7 page tutorial that I hadn't planned on writing! I'm calling this card design a  Carousel Box Card  and it's made with the  Alora Layering Butterfly Dies, B lossom Branch Die  and  Butterfly Bliss 6x6 Paper Collection  from  Paper Rose Studio . SHOP Paper Rose Studio PRODUCTS -  https://paperrose.com.au?sca_ref=8078156.smN4aKWBPtM This des...
