Alora Layered Triple Butterfly Easel Card - Bees & Butterflies Collection from Paper Rose Studio

Hi and welcome to the second instalment of my Design Team Projects featuring the bee...utiful  Bees & Butterflies Collection. 

For my third project I made a Triple Butterfly Easel Card using the lovely Alora Layered Butterfly [31623] and Alora Layered Butterfly Trio [31626] Metal Cutting Dies.


As with the Double Butterfly Easel Card in the previous post, I used some beautiful Gold Shimmer from the pack of Golden Dream Shimmer Cardstock for the detailed butterfly die-cuts.


The label is from the gorgeous pack of Bees & Butterflies Embossed Die-Cuts. I absolutely love using the coordinating packs of die-cuts with the paper collections from Paper Rose Studio. They are one of my favourite 'go to' products - no stamping, colouring and die-cutting required; you just simply use a craft knife (or a small pair of scissors) to cut the tabs to gently release the pieces from the backing sheet. You'll see some more examples of these gorgeous die-cuts in my next lot of projects for this collection.

Easy Interactive Folio - Nature Stroll 2 from Paper Rose Studio

I love Fairy Wrens (especially Tasmania's Superb Fairy-wren) so I was naturally drawn to this beautiful collection from the Nature Stroll range of products from Paper Rose Studio .  While attending Paperific in Melbourne I visited the Paper Rose Studio Stand and got my hands on the beautiful Nature Stroll 2, 12 x 12 Paper Collection and Die-Cuts .  The collection has beautiful images of Australian flora and fauna and I chose a gorgeous sheet of paper with bold proteas on one side and a delicate floral pattern on the reverse side to make another Easy Interactive Folio. This example has a large brad with twine closure at the front of the flap and a small pocket and tag on the inside. Attached to the belly band is a Hidden Paper Clip made with the Nesting Label 2 Metal Cutting Die.  The notebook was sewn together with some wax thread using a pamphlet stitch and some punched circles were glued to the ends for extra embellishment.  A corner pocket was glued to the bac...

Boho Baby Z-Fold Card and Zig-Zag Album with Pop-Up Crib

Hi there. Welcome to my blog.  This month I was assigned the absolutely adorable Boho Baby Collection to 'work' with for Paper Rose Studio. I love the beautiful neutrals and greens in the collection and wanted to feature as many of the papers and embossed die-cuts that I could.  For the first project I decided to make a Z-Fold card with a pop-up baby crib.  Boho Baby Z-Fold Card I've made a few that are similar in construction but this one is a little different because I've made the crib with the Stirling Fence Metal Cutting Die . You can see how I constructed it further down in this post. I didn't need to add a lot of die-cuts to the card as the beautiful patterned paper is so detailed; I love the cute toy box scene! A rectangular die-cut was added to the back of the card to provide a space to write a message. To finish off the card I glued a cute embossed die-cut to the envelope. My second project, a Zig-Zag Album, also has a pop-up baby crib on the inside cover....

Thankful Florals - STAMPtember Collab with Simon Says Stamps and Paper Rose Studio

Welcome to the #STAMPtember Collaboration with Simon Says Stamps and Paper Rose Studio . Today I'm sharing a beautiful Stamp Set called Thankful Florals . It has gorgeous floral and leafy images and loads of sentiments for all occasions! It's been a while since I've coloured in a stamped image so I was a little rusty. I went with my favourite colouring technique, combining watercolour pencils with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. The coloured images take 'centre stage' on this fun fold which is called a Pop-Up Gatefold Card . I was inspired by a video tutorial on You Tube by Sam Calcott from Mixed Up Craft .
