'Fairytale Christmas' Shaker Shadow Box Card for Funky Folds Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the September 2025 Funky Folds Blog Hop. Tonight I'm sharing a Shaker Shadow Box Card featuring products from the Fairytale Christmas Quick Cards Collection (Paper Rose Studio).

The Funky Folds group consists of like minded paper crafters who love to make projects with fun folds. Funky actually means "modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way"... so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think 'easel', 'pop-up', 'gatefold', 'z-fold', 'shaped' or 3D cards etc. The list is endless ... and it also includes journals, albums etc. All Blog Hops have an 'anything goes' theme using any type of 'funky' fold!

If you love to make cards, journals, albums etc. with creative folds and would like to participate in our monthly Funky Folds Blog Hop, you are welcome to join up through our community group on Facebook - facebook.com/groups/funkyfoldsbloghops

Here's what the three layers of the card look like. The middle and front section have been die-cut with the gorgeous Snowflake Circle Metal Die.

Measurements -

Back Piece - (H)4-1/4" x (W)8-1/4". Score at the 2" and 6-1/4" marks along the width.
Front Piece - (H)4-1/4" x (W)8-1/4". Score at the 2" and 6-1/4" marks along the width.
Middle Piece -  (H)4-1/4" x (W)6-1/4". Score at the 1" and 5-1/4" marks along the width.

Basic Instructions - Create a shaker section to the shadow box card front by making an acetate window (2 layers) with a spattering of Crystal Clear Mix in-between and held together with adhesive foam strips.

Glue the middle section to the back piece and then the front section will easily slot into place forming the shadow box.

Embellish with embossed die cuts from the kit.

Create a place on the back to write a greeting to the recipient.
