Fairytale Christmas Shaker Cards

This year I have the wonderful privilege of being on the Design Team for Paper Rose Studio. If you haven't come across their gorgeous range of paper collections, metal cutting dies etc. you really should do yourself a favour and check out their website. They have some very cute collections including Fairytale Christmas which I'm featuring today in my second DT project for the month of August.


Aren't those images from the Quick Cards Collection adorable? I looked at the Inspo Sheet in the pack, followed the suggested layout for three of the designs and added a shaker element to each one.

CARD 1


I decided to make the card bases from the Sea Mist Shimmer Cardstock (such a gorgeous colour and so shimmery).

CARD 2


The shaker element was die-cut from Frost White Shimmer Cardstock using the Snowflake Circle and Circle Frames Stitched Metal Cutting Dies (inside of the third largest die). A layer of acetate was attached with some adhesive foam strips and filled with a spattering of the beautiful Crystal Clear Mix.

'Silent Sea' Double Pocket Hidden Paper Clip for a Tags & Envelopes Folio

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm back with yet another 'Silent Sea' Tags & Envelopes Folio! This THIRD one was a commissioned project; I decided to 'switch it up' a bit by adding a Double Pocket Hidden Paper Clip to the inside. Hidden paperclips refer to paperclips that have been embellished or covered with paper, fabric etc. to create decorative pockets or 'charms', often used for junk journaling and scrapbooking. These altered paperclips are a trending craft item, with many tutorials available on YouTube that demonstrate various techniques to create unique designs for adding to journals, cards, folios and other decorative projects. This version of a hidden paperclip is attached to a bellyband on the fourth page of the folio. Sewing Gnomes Pinwheel Card made with Envelopes

Today I'm sharing my second Paper Rose Studio Design Team Project for July; it's a Pinwheel Card made with 4-3/4" square envelopes and features the very cute, Sewing Gnomes Embossed Die-Cuts and the Pastel Patterns 1.0, 6x6 Paper Collection . Front Pages Middle Pages Middle Pages with Additional Small Envelope Card 'Back' (a place to write the greeting) There are lots of envelope pockets to tuck a gift card, tags, mini notebook etc. inside to surprise the recipient. Card Front Bird's Eye View How to Make the Pinwheel Card Base 1. Cut a piece of cardstock the same height as the envelopes you're wanting to use by 5 inches wide. 2. Score at 1" intervals along the width, mountain fold eacb score line and crease with a Bone Folder. 3. Glue the two ends together to form a rectangular prism. 4.
