Arabella's Garden Extended Z-Fold Card for November Funky Folds Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the November 2025 Funky Folds Blog Hop. Tonight I'm sharing an Extended Z-Fold Card with a Planter Box. This is my Spring version of this fancy fold featuring the gorgeous Arabella's Garden 6x6 papers. 


The Funky Folds group consists of like minded paper crafters who love to make projects with fun folds. Funky actually means "modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way"... so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think 'easel', 'pop-up', 'gatefold', 'z-fold', 'shaped' or 3D cards etc. The list is endless ... and it also includes journals, albums etc. All Blog Hops have an 'anything goes' theme using any type of 'funky' fold!

I've re-visited one of my most popular card fold designs from 2020; no dies needed for this fancy fold! Just start with a card base measuring (H)5-1/4" x (W)12". Score at the 4", 8" and 10" marks.


Add some paper panels and a 'planter box' full of fussy cut flowers, butterflies and a tag.

Poppy Garden Pop-Up Gatefold Card

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing the third card (out of 4) that I made for a Fun Folds Class  way back in July.  The card fold is called a  Pop-Up Gatefold  and this size is great for showing off those 6x6 papers you have in your stash. Back I chose some beautiful scenic papers from the Poppy Garden Collection for the background and the pop-up section is full of beautiful poppy embossed die-cuts behind the picket fence. Fairytale Christmas Shaker Cards

They have some very cute collections including Fairytale Christmas which I'm featuring today in my second DT project for the month of August. 'Little Bakers' Bitty Bakery Cupcake Box

Welcome to Spring in my part of the world. I'm starting off the month with a very cute 3D project. It's a forerunner to a DT project that I made which will be published on the 8th September (I cannot wait to share that one with you!). So here's a little peek at some new products from Paper Rose Studio -  Little Bakers Collection! While searching for some 'bakery themed' ideas, I came across this FREE TEMPLATE for a Bitty Bakery Cupcake Box from MadeByMarzipan  (with an accompanying video tutorial on YouTube). It was so much fun to put together. If you look closely I've popped a tray of choc chip cookies in the oven ( Little Bakers Embossed Die-Cuts ). How adorable is that! The oven mitt was cut down to size and I added a cute little chef as a prop. Some lovely paper from the collection was added to the sides of the oven and I lined out the inside of the box with some dark grey squares of metallic foil.
