Three Fun Fold Cards made with the Nesting Arches Metal Cutting Die

Image
Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing my latest design team project for Paper Rose Studio. I was asked to make a Fancy Fold Card using any Nesting Dies of my choice. It wasn't easy to decide which Nesting Dies to use as I have a few sets and so many ideas were floating around in my head! Once I'd settled on featuring the Nesting Arches Metal Cutting Dies (so trendy right now), I decided on three fancy fold card ideas and to incorporate the Mosaic Sunflower Die into each design. The 6x6 papers from the Sketchy Collection provided a lovely botanical background for each card. 1. Honeycomb Pop-Out Card The Honeycomb Pop-Out Card has an aperture cut into the pop-out section and the Mosaic Sunflower die-cut is glued to an acetate arch which is attached to the front stabiliser piece. 2. Box Card The box card is constructed from four large arch die-cuts and joined together with hinges. Three of the sides are scored and folded to form the outer, decorative flaps. 3. Ease...

Poppy Garden Pop-Out Panel Card

Image
Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing the fourth card (out of 4) that I made for a  Fun Folds Class  way back in July.  The card fold is called a  Pop-Out Panel Card  and is just the right size to showcase those cut apart scenes in the 6x6 paper collections from Paper Rose Studio. The pop-out section features a cute butterfly and mini scene embossed die-cuts from the Poppy Garden Collection  which are mounted onto a red label die-cut made with the Nesting Label 2 Metal Cutting Die . I've added some extra paper panels to the middle sections of the card as well as to the sides of the pop-out mechanism. Christmas Tree Farm 'Honeycomb' Pop-Out Cards

Image
Welcome to my blog; I'm super excited to share my latest Design Team project for Paper Rose Studio.  I've made a couple of Honeycomb Pop-Out Cards  (original design by Susan Campfield) and have adapted the measurements for a 6x6 card base. They feature the gorgeous papers and embossed die-cuts from the Christmas Tree Farm Collection . Card Number 1 - Window Decorations The window scene wasn't central on the paper so I adjusted the order of the panels to suit this type of card fold then added a Christmas Tree Embossed Die-Cut to the stabiliser piece. The sentiment is from the pack of 'First Christmas' die-cuts and I added the poinsettia, bells and holly for some extra embellishment. There's plenty of room on the back of the card to write a greeting and the side panels have been embellished with some festive paper and an embossed die-cut. Card Number 2 - On the Farm For the second card I decided to add a 'stabiliser' piece to the top as well as the bottom...

Hi and welcome to the November 2025 Funky Folds Blog Hop . Tonight I'm sharing an Extended Z-Fold Card with a Planter Box. This is my Spring version of this fancy fold featuring the gorgeous Arabella's Garden 6x6 papers.  The Funky Folds group consists of like minded paper crafters who love to make projects with fun folds. Funky actually means "modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way"... so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think 'easel', 'pop-up', 'gatefold', 'z-fold', 'shaped' or 3D cards etc. The list is endless ... and it also includes journals, albums etc. All Blog Hops have an 'anything goes' theme using any type of 'funky' fold! If you love to make cards, journals, albums etc. with creative folds and would like to  participate  in our monthly  Funky Folds Blog Hop , you are welcome to join up through our community group on  Facebook...
