Poppy Garden 6x6 Easel Card for August Funky Folds Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the August 2025 Funky Folds Blog Hop. 

The Funky Folds group consists of like minded paper crafters who love to make projects with fun folds. Funky actually means "modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way"... so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think 'easel', 'pop-up', 'gatefold', 'z-fold', 'shaped' or 3D cards etc. The list is endless ... and it now includes journals, albums etc.

All Blog Hops have an 'anything goes' theme using any type of 'funky' fold and today I'm sharing a 6x6 Easel Card featuring the gorgeous Poppy Garden Collection from Paper Rose Studio.

Making a larger easel card allowed me to fully 'show off' the beautiful 6x6 paper and it was easy to create a cute scene using the gorgeous embossed die-cuts in the collection.


I've got a few fence metal cutting dies in my stash and the Picket Fence die-cut was able to cover the entire width of the card.


I designed this card for a class and the sides of the 'block' stopper for the easel section on this particular one measures 1" in length (double the length of the ones I've previously made).

Poppy Garden Mini Tags & Envelopes Folio

Hi and welcome to my blog. I'm back with my first Design Team Project for the month of August; a mini version of a Tags & Envelopes Folio. I chose to feature the gorgeous papers and embossed die-cuts from the Poppy Garden Collection from Paper Rose Studio , along with the very versatile  Stitched Tags Metal Cutting Dies .  I learned how to make the larger folio in a class taken by my lovely friend Lynne at LJ’s Crafty Corner , so I adapted the  design to use with 6x6 papers. Smaller envelopes were used in this project - a notecard and a standard card size (C6). The folio design consists of a small tag for the front cover, a larger tag for the back cover and the two different sized envelopes for the middle pages, joined together with an inside hinge and sewn together with a pamphlet stitch using wax thread. Strawberry Friends Bridge Fold Slider Cards

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing my latest Design Team Project - a set of slider cards featuring the very cute Strawberry Friends Collection from Paper Rose Studio . Every slider mechanism has been placed on a Bridge Fold and when each animal is pulled along the slider, a 'secret' message is revealed.  Card 1 - Thanks - You Are Sweet Card 2 - Hugs - Get Well Soon Card 3 - Hello - Happy Birthday The cards are so easy to embellish with some cute critters from the pack of Strawberry Friends Embossed Die-Cuts and some gorgeous coordinating papers from the 6x6 pack. I've also used some brand new stamps and dies from the Stacked Sentiments range which make it so easy to choose an appropriate greeting for each card.
