Cityscape Superhero Card

Hi and welcome to 'Bronwyn Eastley Designs'. Today I'm sharing a fun card that I made a while back; it was a commissioned project for a 30th Birthday, Superhero themed party! 

I made a Square Double Z-Fold as the card base and added some yellow cardstock behind the black Cityscape buildings. Some windows were coloured in with a black alcohol marker.
Comic Strip Elements were added to the skyline and envelope which were made from Gold Glimmer and Black Cardstock.
As the recipient was a 'guy' I omitted the 'pigtail buns' on the Girl Power Stamp and coloured it in with alcohol markers. The superhero was fussy cut and attached to an insert within the box card section.

Boho Baby Z-Fold Card and Zig-Zag Album with Pop-Up Crib

Hi there. Welcome to my blog.  This month I was assigned the absolutely adorable Boho Baby Collection to 'work' with for Paper Rose Studio. I love the beautiful neutrals and greens in the collection and wanted to feature as many of the papers and embossed die-cuts that I could.  For the first project I decided to make a Z-Fold card with a pop-up baby crib.  Boho Baby Z-Fold Card I've made a few that are similar in construction but this one is a little different because I've made the crib with the Stirling Fence Metal Cutting Die . You can see how I constructed it further down in this post. I didn't need to add a lot of die-cuts to the card as the beautiful patterned paper is so detailed; I love the cute toy box scene! A rectangular die-cut was added to the back of the card to provide a space to write a message. To finish off the card I glued a cute embossed die-cut to the envelope. My second project, a Zig-Zag Album, also has a pop-up baby crib on the inside cover....

A Gatefold Card with a Butterfly Easel and Pocket for the May Funky Folds Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the May 2025 Funky Folds Blog Hop. This is the first 'new' blog post that I've published since starting this blog, Bronwyn Eastley Designs .  My AddINKtive Designs website will be closing at the end of June as the costs are ridiculously expensive to maintain. Nowadays I give away more tutorials than I sell ... which I'm more than happy to do. I'd rather start afresh and not feel like I have to keep on selling tutorials just to keep my website going. 'Silent Sea' Double Pocket Hidden Paper Clip for a Tags & Envelopes Folio

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I'm back with yet another 'Silent Sea' Tags & Envelopes Folio! This THIRD one was a commissioned project; I decided to 'switch it up' a bit by adding a Double Pocket Hidden Paper Clip to the inside. Hidden paperclips refer to paperclips that have been embellished or covered with paper, fabric etc. to create decorative pockets or 'charms', often used for junk journaling and scrapbooking. These altered paperclips are a trending craft item, with many tutorials available on YouTube that demonstrate various techniques to create unique designs for adding to journals, cards, folios and other decorative projects. This version of a hidden paperclip is attached to a bellyband on the fourth page of the folio.
