'Little Bakers' Kitchen Bench Fold Card

Oh my! It's so much fun creating with products from Paper Rose Studio; they do 'cute' very well in my opinion. I'm so excited to share my latest Design Team project for September, featuring the Little Bakers Collection. 

I've made a few Kitchen Bench Cards over the years but this one is my absolute favourite so far. Those darling little images from the packet of Little Bakers Embossed Die-cuts really make this style of card so much fun to make.

For this card design I followed a YouTube Tutorial by 'H' Made (scroll down for the link). The measurements made a slightly smaller version than I've done in the past and I've added a photo collage of my modified version to show you the steps that I took.

The.6x6 paper from Little Bakers Patterns made a lovely backdrop for the kitchen scene and I created the  'wooden' drawers and cupboards from a sheet of paper from the Strawberry Friends Basics 6x6 Collection.

The layout with the oven and side bench was perfect to add a plate of freshly cooked fruit buns and I used an extension 'pop-out' piece to attach my little chef (with the strawberry cake) to the card.

Other products and tools that I used - White Cardstock, Black Cardstock, Silver Foil, Dark Grey Foil,  Cream Adhesive Dots, Paper Trimmer, Scoring Board, Foam Adhesive Dots, Wet Glue, Corner Rounder Punch, Double Slot Punch (for the handles).

Basic Measurements -

Card Base - (H)5"x (W)10" - Scored at 1-3/4", 3-1/4", 6-3/4", 8-1/4".
Insert - (H)2"x (W)4-1/2" - Scored at 1/2", 4".
Front Bench Fold - (H)3-1/2"x (W)7". Horizontal score line 1-1/2" from the top. Cut away 1-3/4" on both sides leaving a 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" bench in the middle.

Poppy Garden Pop-Up Gatefold Card

Today I'm sharing the third card (out of 4) that I made for a Fun Folds Class  way back in July.  The card fold is called a  Pop-Up Gatefold  and this size is great for showing off those 6x6 papers you have in your stash. 'Little Bakers' Bitty Bakery Cupcake Box

Welcome to Spring in my part of the world. I'm starting off the month with a very cute 3D project. It's a forerunner to a DT project that I made which will be published on the 8th September (I cannot wait to share that one with you!). So here's a little peek at some new products from Paper Rose Studio -  Little Bakers Collection! While searching for some 'bakery themed' ideas, I came across this FREE TEMPLATE for a Bitty Bakery Cupcake Box from MadeByMarzipan  (with an accompanying video tutorial on YouTube). It was so much fun to put together. If you look closely I've popped a tray of choc chip cookies in the oven ( Little Bakers Embossed Die-Cuts ). How adorable is that! The oven mitt was cut down to size and I added a cute little chef as a prop. Some lovely paper from the collection was added to the sides of the oven and I lined out the inside of the box with some dark grey squares of metallic foil.
