Thankful Florals - STAMPtember Collab with Simon Says Stamps and Paper Rose Studio

Welcome to the #STAMPtember Collaboration with Simon Says Stamps and Paper Rose Studio. Today I'm sharing a beautiful Stamp Set called Thankful Florals. It has gorgeous floral and leafy images and loads of sentiments for all occasions!


It's been a while since I've coloured in a stamped image so I was a little rusty. I went with my favourite colouring technique, combining watercolour pencils with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.


The coloured images take 'centre stage' on this fun fold which is called a Pop-Up Gatefold Card. I was inspired by a video tutorial on You Tube by Sam Calcott from Mixed Up Craft.

The Happy Birthday Sentiment was fussy cut and suspended on a strip of acetate...


... and I die-cut the picket fence from the woodgrain patterned paper in the Bees & Butterflies Collection.
A little bee and butterfly embossed die-cut hover over the beautiful floral images and the floral papers create a stunning backdrop for the garden scene.

Boho Baby Z-Fold Card and Zig-Zag Album with Pop-Up Crib

Hi there. Welcome to my blog.  This month I was assigned the absolutely adorable Boho Baby Collection to 'work' with for Paper Rose Studio. I love the beautiful neutrals and greens in the collection and wanted to feature as many of the papers and embossed die-cuts that I could.  For the first project I decided to make a Z-Fold card with a pop-up baby crib.  Boho Baby Z-Fold Card I've made a few that are similar in construction but this one is a little different because I've made the crib with the Stirling Fence Metal Cutting Die . You can see how I constructed it further down in this post. I didn't need to add a lot of die-cuts to the card as the beautiful patterned paper is so detailed; I love the cute toy box scene! A rectangular die-cut was added to the back of the card to provide a space to write a message. To finish off the card I glued a cute embossed die-cut to the envelope. My second project, a Zig-Zag Album, also has a pop-up baby crib on the inside cover....

'Fairytale Christmas' Shaker Shadow Box Card for Funky Folds Blog Hop

'Little Bakers' Kitchen Bench Fold Card

Oh my! It's so much fun creating with products from Paper Rose Studio ; they do 'cute' very well in my opinion. I'm so excited to share my latest Design Team project for September, featuring the Little Bakers Collection.  I've made a few Kitchen Bench Cards over the years but this one is my absolute favourite so far. Those darling little images from the packet of Little Bakers Embossed Die-cuts really make this style of card so much fun to make. For this card design I followed a YouTube Tutorial by 'H' Made (scroll down for the link). The measurements made a slightly smaller version than I've done in the past and I've added a photo collage of my modified version to show you the steps that I took. The.6x6 paper from Little Bakers Patterns made a lovely backdrop for the kitchen scene and I created the  'wooden' drawers and cupboards from a sheet of paper from the Strawberry Friends Basics 6x6 Collection .
