I love Fairy Wrens (especially Tasmania's Superb Fairy-wren) so I was naturally drawn to this beautiful collection from the Nature Stroll range of products from Paper Rose Studio .  While attending Paperific in Melbourne I visited the Paper Rose Studio Stand and got my hands on the beautiful Nature Stroll 2, 12 x 12 Paper Collection and Die-Cuts .  The collection has beautiful images of Australian flora and fauna and I chose a gorgeous sheet of paper with bold proteas on one side and a delicate floral pattern on the reverse side to make another Easy Interactive Folio. This example has a large brad with twine closure at the front of the flap and a small pocket and tag on the inside. Attached to the belly band is a Hidden Paper Clip made with the Nesting Label 2 Metal Cutting Die.  The notebook was sewn together with some wax thread using a pamphlet stitch and some punched circles were glued to the ends for extra embellishment.  A corner pocket was glued to the bac...

Today I'm sharing a fun card that I made a while back; it was a commissioned project for a 30th Birthday, Superhero themed party!  I made a Square Double Z-Fold as the card base and added some yellow cardstock behind the black Cityscape buildings. Some windows were coloured in with a black alcohol marker. Comic Strip Elements were added to the skyline and envelope which were made from Gold Glimmer and Black Cardstock. As the recipient was a 'guy' I omitted the 'pigtail buns' on the Girl Power Stamp and coloured it in with alcohol markers. The superhero was fussy cut and attached to an insert within the box card section. Welcome to the #STAMPtember Collaboration with Simon Says Stamps and Paper Rose Studio . Today I'm sharing a beautiful Stamp Set called Thankful Florals . It has gorgeous floral and leafy images and loads of sentiments for all occasions! It's been a while since I've coloured in a stamped image so I was a little rusty. I went with my favourite colouring technique, combining watercolour pencils with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. The coloured images take 'centre stage' on this fun fold which is called a Pop-Up Gatefold Card . I was inspired by a video tutorial on You Tube by Sam Calcott from Mixed Up Craft . Hi there. Welcome to my blog.  This month I was assigned the absolutely adorable Boho Baby Collection to 'work' with for Paper Rose Studio. I love the beautiful neutrals and greens in the collection and wanted to feature as many of the papers and embossed die-cuts that I could.  For the first project I decided to make a Z-Fold card with a pop-up baby crib.  Boho Baby Z-Fold Card I've made a few that are similar in construction but this one is a little different because I've made the crib with the Stirling Fence Metal Cutting Die . You can see how I constructed it further down in this post. I didn't need to add a lot of die-cuts to the card as the beautiful patterned paper is so detailed; I love the cute toy box scene! A rectangular die-cut was added to the back of the card to provide a space to write a message. To finish off the card I glued a cute embossed die-cut to the envelope.
